Are there any alternatives to the Canopus AC Adapter? (ie a universal AC->DC adapter) If someone could some one provide what I should look for?

AIFAIK any adapter will work as long as it's the same voltage, mines labled 5v.
BTW in case you are not aware the 110 doesn't require the adapter if you are plugging it into a 6 pin firewire port on your computer or other 6 pin ports. -

I tend to use power supplies with anywhere from 2-5 times the current (amperage) required because this way I can use said power supply with big, power-hungry items (like laptop computers) as well as little circuit board projects and it works for everything.
