  1. I have a .vob file, in two parts, that I want to join as one. I have run the file using:

    gspot: Video = MPEG-1, frame 352x240 @ 29.97 fps Audio: MPEG-1 layer 2 @ 44.1KHZ Conversion: None, VCD format

    AVIcodec: Video: same as above

The only program that I found that would let me do anything with the file is an all-in-one called All Video to VCD SVCD DVD Converter. I tried DAEMON Tools, TMPGEnc, DIKO, ISObuster, etc. I know some were useless for .vob but nothing was working.

The problem is that as the video plays the audio sync drops and get worse throughout the first .vob file. The audio is in sync and remains that way throughout the second .vob file (movie in 2 parts).

How can I correct this (join the two .vob files and sync the audio) ? I am new and have asked some of this before with no luck. Be gentle.

    Thanks in advance

You can "join" the VOBs by taking them apart (demuxing) with ReJig. That way, you can take any # of VOBs and extract their audio and video contents as one file.
VOBs aren't meant to be edited (hardly even m2v) - they are the final end product after all recoding, editing, encoding and authoring has been done, so, are some of the worst source material you can find.

  4. Thanks for the help. Joining the two has turned out to be quite simple. Just can't get the audio to sync on the first part. Like you said, bad material....

    Thanks again

Just because the audio is out of sync on the first file doesn't mean you can't fix it. Like i said before i have never fixed audio video sync on vob files but i bet there are plenty of people using this site who have and have written guides on the subject. Don't give up, keep searching and you may learn a lot of usefull things on the way.
    Peace
