Ok, I know there are many bright minds here that can answer me, I just hope someone has seen this.
I have 2 dvd's that are each 1.5 GB. I am trying to put them both to one DVD. My first attempt was to rip them to the hard drive, run them through TMPGE Author and then burn. All was fine, video looked great, audio in synch. But then when the first .Vob file off of the second disc is playing, (so the third Vob on the new burned disc) if I fast forward or rewind it takes the DVD all the way back to a scene in the very first .Vob file, but if I let it play it's just fine.
So then I decide maybe I should try joining the vobs first. So I join them using VobEdit. Use Ifoedit to create the IFO files and then burn. But again when it gets to the third vob, and if I try to rewind or fast forward it goes to a scene in the first vob. The odd thing too is that the chapters don't change. So in other words I was on chapter 14, tried rewinding and it stayed with chapter 14 but went back to the first vob.
Now can any of you bright minds help me out, or have any idea why this would be happening?

They was separate tracks in TMPGE. I didn't do a menu cause just wanted the movie. I know it's sounds confusing and I am trying to explain it the best I can. The only thing I can say is that when I get to lets say the second half of the film, the half that came from disc 2, if I hit rewind or fast forward on my dvd player it goes to a scene from the first half of the film. So in other words, if I hit rewind it goes to vobs 1 or 2 and if I hit fast forward it jumps forward towards the end of vobs 1 or 2.

The Stinger, I think your problem is that the 2 movies are in the same VTS (video title set) and when that's the case, nothing prevents you from fast forwarding or rewinding to the next/previous movie. If the 2 movies were in separate VTS, then that would not happen.
Are you sure they were in separate tracks in TMPGenc DVD Author, and not simply in separate chapters. I think if you put videos in 2 separate tracks, the videos end up in different VTS.
If you end up with only 1 VTS on the output DVD, that's probably your problem.
You could possibly add puos so you can't fast forward in the last PGC of your first title, for example, but that would be kludgy...
