  1. ok my computer seem to unable to copy files from a dvd disc..althlough it used to b4 formatting it, now i get this error:

    CANNOT COPY: DATA ERROR (CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK)

    Have you tried multiple discs or does every disc give the error?

  3. You said it used to do it before formatting it. Do you mean that you have reinstall you OS and all softwares ? Is it possible that you are using any drivers that is different from before ? or missing some that you had but not now ? Yes, you should also try thecoalman's suggestion to see if the failure is on every DVD. How about CDs ? You have to know what works and what doesn't.

    This error is normally associated with a damaged disc, eg scratches.
    Is the disc visibly OK ?

  5. My bet is on a damaged disk. But are you able to play that disk ?

  6. disc is a lil scratched..but b4 i formatted computer it play ed fine..is there a way to fix tat error?

    yes i did...the dvd copied some folders and some folders it didnt..
