  1. I've got an xvid file and the audio is sligtly out of sync with the video.
    Firstly I stripped the audio from the file using virtual dub, then edited the audio stream by delaying by 700ms so they should now sync.
    Im unsure though how to rejoin the audio and the video file again - tmpgenc only does mpeg files - is there anything i can use to rejoin the audio and video?

    In virtualdubmod load you avi, select streams and select add, then browse for your new audio file, load it in and then direct stream copy the whole file with another file name. If your old audio is still in audio streams then disable it before saving.

    All you need to do is load the avi in virtualdub and choose audio/interleaving/delay set to 700 and then save as new.avi with video/direct stream copy.No need to strip the audio at all.
