Lots of my Xvid AVI files with mp3/ac3 streams have low audio when played on a pc.

I have fixed this problem many times by demuxing the audio track, reencoding the audio with some gain to normalise, and then remuxing with the original video.

However I'd like to be able to achieve a similar result in real time whilst playing the video file, and so save all the hastle of demuxing and reencoding.

For Ac3 files I understand I can achieve this with AC3Filter, but does this also support MP3 streams? According to what I've read it doesn't...

So is there a similar filter or booster to use with MP3 audio in an AVI file?

    Thanks in advance

ffdshow, enable it for mp3 in the audio configuration under codecs and then enable the volume.
