  3. sorry about that .
I am working with 3D movies that require a left and right frame of seperate info , when placed together that gives the 3D in shutter interlace

now I want to be able to seperate the frames and save them in seperate files , uptill now I can save them as one file but being side by side

    bit of a tricky one

  4. Hmmm, not sure I really understand, but...

If I am thinking correctly, you can use virtualdub with the crop filter to 1st save the LH side, then adjust to save the RH side. You will then have two movies, one fro each side of the original.

If you then want to save these to a sequence of images, I think virtuladub can do this too. If not, TmpGenc will save a movie to a sequence of bmp files.

    Search Comp PM
Video->Filters->click on the Add button. Add the Null Transform filter. This filter does nothing to the video, however you will now see that the Cropping button on the filters dialogue can now be activated. Now you can crop.

  7. You don't want to use the crop function in VirtualDub. You want the Video -> Filters -> Add -> Deinterlace -> Unfold Fields Side By Side. If you want to restore the full picture height add a Resize filter after the unfolding.

If you want to split the video into two separate files (a left video and a right video) use the Discard Field 1 and Discard Field 2 options of the deinterlace filter. Set Discard Field 1 and save. The change to Discard Field 2 and save. Again you may want to resize to restore the aspect ratio.
