Weird size problem with TMPGE covneted DivX files

I followed the instructions here:

I did this EXACT same procedure a few weeks ago with the same type of files, and all was fine.


The M2V files and the AC3 soundtracks TOTAL are 3.2 GB

When I load them into Ulead DVD Workshop they show up as 5.3 GB!

What is going on here??

ulead dvd workshop probably reencodes the audio to wav/pcm = bigger. use a dvd author tool that supports ac3 like tmpgenc dvd author.

I don't like Ulead dvd workshop that much.

it will reencode the video EVEN if it is already a DVD type file if I remember correctly. and that the encoder for Ulead dvd workshop is subpar, which force me to convert the avi with another encoder before passing it to Ulead.
