    Hi! The S-Video out on my laptop hooked to my tv only shows windows media player or a dvd software with a black area [] where the video is supposed to be on the tv but I can see the video being played on my laptop. This has happened with several pieces of hardware... Is there any way to get by this? (file is an mpg). Thanks for all the help

    Make the svideo output the primary monitor or turn of overlay/video acceleration in wmp.

    If you have an ati graphic card you can turn on the theatre mode.
