  1. how do i make a bin file that has to be burned on a cd -r that is 850megs and won't fit on a cd -r. i eventually want to burn it on a dvd-r. can anyone give me some advice on this

    Get a 90 min CD-R. Or wait until you put it on DVD-R.
    To work with the bin, just like if you had burned it, mount it with daemon tools.

    have you tried to burn it? A data CD has a lot of overhead due to error correction and fault tolerances, so the capacity is only 700 MB. A VCD does not have these, so the capacity is higher.

    I say at least give it a try and see what happens.

    Depends on how tolerant your player is. Made many 850-880 MB VCD in my days that played no problem. I'm not sure if max size is specified in the VCD specs, or if it's implicitly set by the available space of the media.
