A friend asked me to put some VHS-C tapes onto DVD for her, most of them have been no problem but a few seem to be in a real bad way. When I play them every few seconds the video skips/flickers/jitters (not sure what the right word is!) on the TV and my capture software drops the frames.

Now what I'd like is to capture the jumpyness, otherwise her DVD is going to very disjointed. Is there any way to capture it exactly as it appeared on the TV?

FYI, I'm using a Samsung SV-5000W VCR hooked up to a DAC-100 capture box, firewire into the PC running Video Factory to capture.

Perhaps what I'm asking can't be done, in which case any suggestions for what to do with these tapes? (No, burning them isn't an option!)

    Thanks

    Paul

Don't think you can, a TBC will probably fix that. Pricey though.

Try another VCR. That one you have can be a PITA sometimes. I have one, I know.
