    i hve just tried to d/l real player,during installation it says it can not complete as i am not system administrator and cant access windows registry,i am using xp,and always logged on as an admistrator- does any body have any clues??

    Sounds like RP has a problem. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't use it anyway as I consider it spyware. Why not try Real Alternative player. It works the same but doesn't come with all the added crap of RP. If you insist on Real Player, try downloading it again.

    You aren't on a corporate network are you? If you are, and your network uses Active Directory, the Sys Admins may have made a Group Policy Object that blocks/prevents real player from being installed. These GPOs override your local machine admin rights. If not, disregard that. I see you're using XP. If you have SP2 installed, allow real player through the firewall, or turn it off until after the install is complete.
