  2. You have to uncheck the "create a complaint (S)VCD" in the compilation propreties.

  3. I author the VCD with VCDEasy and create ISO (bin/cue) images. I burn these images. I prefer to burn images rather than make a VCD out of Nero.

I haven't used it for awhile, but 2 years ago... VCDEasy was a sweet program. Check it out!

  5. Apart what we said, when I use Nero to author a (S)VCD mpeg < 830 MB and complant to my system (PAL/NTSC), it doesn't try to re-encode at all.
I usually choose 'Nero Image Recorder' as burner, to be safe (let's perform one thing at a time...). It simply authors a .NRG (S)VCD image about 8 MB larger than the MPG, after some minutes. Nothing else.
Why does it try to re-encode your?
    Check its specifications ...

  6. Nero re-encode your video if they are out of standard (and it thinks that 192 kbps mp2 is out of standard, they haven't noticed that it's legal for SVCD and VCD 2.0), or if you're going to make CVD or XVCD XSVCD. With complaint file it doesn't reencode them like you've said.

VCDEasy is the only alternative to even consider, when it comes to VCD/SVCD authoring. Period.
