The plain answer is no. It is not possible to make Sound Forge work with DSD recorded content without sample-rate down converting the material into PCM digital at 44.1 kHz sampling frequency. If you wish to do that conversion and have a Korg DSD Recorder, such as the MR-1000, you may use the audiogate software (supplied by Korg) to make a PCM converted file that can be edited with Sound Forge. Of course, all benefits of recording in DSD will be lost forever upon editing the PCM copy, even if you sample-rate up convert the edited file back to DSD Audio, you will have lost the quality that DSD had afforded when you recorded it that way. Because of that, don't destroy your original DSD audio file.

To preserve the audio in its DSD format, I recommend for you to call Gus Skinas at Super Audio Center and talk to him about getting a Sonoma DSD Digital Audio Workstation. http://www.superaudiocenter.com. I am a satisfied user of the Sony Sonoma DAW and recommend it highly. For more information on DSD Audio, visit http://www.dsdaudio.com.

For the highest quality sample rate conversion, contact Sonic Studio and get information on their nexstage DSD utilities. (http://www.sonicstudio.com/products/dsd/nexstage.html) Among those products is software developed by Philips that performs the ultimate in sample rate conversion between DSD and PCM Sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz.

Are you talking just to hear yourself talk? What are the odds of two people coming here within minutes of each other asking the same exact obscure question....and you answering within seconds. I'll tell you what the odds are....slim and none.

Or looking to make money through some tie in to one of the links.

Maybe he's the same guy using a new name who I ripped a few days ago for digging up 2 ancient subtitle posts to recommend installing some kind of free (or so it claims) language translator in response to 2 old posts that didn't have translation but formatting problems.

My posts are completely non-commercial, and informative for anyone who comes by seeking information on the topic of the original post. I saw there was no useful answer posted, so I took care of that. The links given do not sell any products where I get anything financially speaking. BTW, are you alleging that any affiliate links are attached to those links??? If you are, prove it! I am not the same person you "ripped" before. I am a fan of DSD audio coding and want to see the SACD format, or future disc formats based upon it perpetuated, and that's that.
