All you need to know, is that the CPU should be for a 478 socket. There are several different 'cores' which are 478 sockets. I would suggest the 3.2 with 512KB Cache (Northwood) http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80663 . The 3.2 with 1MB cache (Prescott) requires a very good CPU cooler because of the extra heat but does not significantly increase throughput. If you are going to do video processing or gaming, you should upgrade your CPU cooler. I recommend the XP-90 cooler. It is considered the best non-water cooling CPU cooler.

Google is your answer or check out the Asus Website.

It supports up to 3.2GHz, 800MHz FSB.

the ASUS P4P800SE can use either a NORTHWOOD or PRESCOTT CPU up to 3.2GHZ according to the ASUS website.

    http://usa.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=P4P800%20SE&langs=09

i agree with normcar to get a NORTHWOOD PENT 4 3.2GHZ, 800 FSB. if you get a PRESHOT (PRESCOTT) chip you'll need to invest in a good CPU cooler.
