After buying 400 of the value TYs (4x) from another retailer I started having problems with the last 100. I then noticed towards the bottom of the stack two were stuck together. When I pulled them apart they were covered with glue. I did leave them in the tape for quite a while.

So I ordered 200 from rima.com. I usually buy my regular TYs from Rima for important stuff. For things like DVD and PS2 backups, stuff I don't care about, I use generic media.

Anyway, when the Value TYs arrived from Rima.com they were TYG02- 8x!

I went back last week to buy more, but supply seems to be drying up. I was told that Rima no longer carries them.

So here's my question: Does anybody know which retailers (if any) are selling the 8x value discs?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. While shopping around I noticed that newegg was charging $70 per hundred for non printable TY. The same thing that Rima sells for $41. I love Newegg, but WTF Anybody understand this?

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

I had to check my email for the confirmation from supermediastore to be certain, but that's where I bought the 400 TYs that I had problems with. Furthermore, the media code listed on the website is TYG01.

All my discs from them (2 seperate orders) were 4x, so I would say you got lucky. Or I got unlucky

As for Meritline, I stopped ordering from them about a year ago. Well cdrdvdrmedia (same company). Despite polite requests, begging and finally threats to take my business elsewhere they refused to properly pack my shipments. Half the time my discs arrived ruined

I have had (5) seperate orders totalling 300 TY 8x discs delivered without any issues. Only (1) disc was bad. I have just ordered another (100) TY 8x and should recieve them Monday.

Their packaging is not very robust but so far it has be adequate.
