Just email it ...... I'm 99.9% sure it won't bring down the mail server ...

Here's a couple of ways you can do it:

Create a torrent, send them the torrent, and then both you and them run a bittorrent client and they download the file from you

Set your computer up for FTP access and give them a username and password so they can FTP it from your computer to theirs

Send them the CD in the mail.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. Up to 1 GB:

Mailing them a CD might be faster though.

there is now a way for computer dummies!
FTP with no pain as follows:
Go to SEND THIS FILE . COM
    www.sendthisfie.com
for FREE, they will hold any size file for 3 days, and announce with an EMAIL that its there.
Only one person can tap the file you upload (with the free account)They may throttle your upload to 100K, but downloads are speedy!
It works fine if you don't have connectivity issues
I've personally use my account to upload 200MB but haven't done more than that.
After you upload the 600mb file, your friend get an EMAIL with a HOT LINK to a website where a LINK in the middle of the page they're sent to will bring up a "SAVE AS" dialogue ...and thats it!
(disclaimer..I don't work for this webservice and have no idea if they copy your file for themselves!)

You could also split the movie into smaller chunks of about 700-900K http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-22,GGLG:en...=file+splitter , be aware that many mail servers will bounce emails with attachments over 1 or 2 mb's. Additionally most e-mail boxes have a space limit. So you'll have to send the files at a slow pace. If whom your sending it to is on a dial up this would probably be the best way since they'd probably never get the entire file in it's full size if they tried to download it. A rough estimate would be about 3 to 4 full days. Even if they miss a chunk that's easily resolved as long as you have it to send to them.

There's other options too once it's split. Your ISP probably has provided some space for you. You could upload the pieces to there and repeat as everyone gets the chunks.

In the end.... just mail them a CD.

So you'd have to send 300 pieces of EMAIL, wow
USE PAR and RAR for parity compression
be aware that many mail servers will bounce emails with attachments over 1 or 2 mb's.

Putfile has a 10 MB limit unless you pay for their subscription.

I use putfile myself but I either compress them to fit or cut them up. I would never try to upload 60 10MB files though. I would probably just make a copy and send it to my friend through the postal service as suggested above .
