Okay, I have an MPEG-2 video that I've tweaked and edited to get it just right, but have run into a bit of a problem. The audio is still MP2. I demuxed it and converted the audio to PCM, but now I'm trying to remux (I'm using TMPGEnc BTW) and it says "Multiplexing Linear PCM stream to system stream is not supported." What must I do?

Add the audio when you author.

What do you author to a dvd with?

  3. System stream in TMPG is for SVCD I think. For DVD should be Program Stream ( )

You should mux the LPCM with an elementary video stream (m2v) to produce a mpg. But why decode mp2 to LPCM? Are you having compatibility issues with mp2 audio?
Most authoring apps take (and are mostly better off with) elementary streams as source, so you should just get your elementary video and audio ready, then use these as sources for your authoring app.
