removing my date and time

im trying to remove the date and time from a video i did with my camera and ive tried the guid for virtualdub msu logo remover here https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=682#682 but it dosnt seem to be very helpfull ive managed to instal the plugin but then wut do id o? i cant seem to figure out how to select the text i want to remove and then remove it...im a total noob at this so a detailed readme would be good guys thanx

Most of the logo removers have some sort of positioning requirements in order to work out the region you want the logo removed from. These normally take the form of X-Y coordinates. By looking at that guide you posted, it shows screenshots of the filter settings and I'm positive it has links to gudes, like this one.

Was this a digital or analogue camera ? Most DV cameras have an option for hard time codes (on the image when playing back through firewire or analogue outputs) or to hide it from external outputs and only display it on the camera screen or view finder. It will be quicker to transfer it across again without the timecode than try to remove it.
