    Hehe, I couldn't even tell that you were a newbie!

    You're talking about menus in SVCD/VCDs right? Well, if you have multiple movies then you can burn all of them onto a CD in SVCD/VCD format and make a menu to have easy access to each movie.

    It's useful if you burn music video's, short video clips, and movie trailers..
