  1. OK Where to begin...I wanted to learn how to burn a move on a dvd with chapter points and everthing. But a couple of my friends said that they were having problems with the dvd. Mostly in their XBOX's
I Used Virtualdub with the angelpotion codec to combine the avi. (I did notice the warning that popped but, read part of it and then paid it no mind). Converted to mpg using TMPGenc. I set the file size to less than 2 gib cause i was putting some extra stuff on there. Once everything was set I created and .img file with encore dvd, but i converted it to an iso using ultraiso to burn with nero. Im using a Sony DRU-500A to burn the dvd. When I watched the movie. I noticed the color seemed to burn out and then come back. It would turn kinda dark pinkish and then just back to the original color. If any1 can help here are my questions.

    1. What bitrate should I use to convert a avi to dvd format???
    2. Should I have converted to .iso or left the dvd image in the .img format???
    3. What Is The Minimum bitrate for converting a avi to dvd and still maintaining quality

I might have these guides around in the wrong order , but they complete the cycle fram avi to dvd with menu .

Xbox's are noted for their poor graphics abilities in dvd playback "bleeding" , the video chip was never truley designed to take that punishment .

Ever seen pitch black played on an xbox or ps2 , when the lights in the video start flashing black white black , ect , those 2 bars at the top and bottom of the tv screen become very jumpy and dissapear and re-appear giving console graphic chips a heart attack , not nice ...

So pitch black is not a good title to play back on console units at all . good for the test but thats all its good for to see the actual capabilities of consoles in dvd playback .

What did you watch it on when you tested it ?

Personally, I wouldn't take an Xbox or PS2 experience as anything to go by. As DVD players they make great games consoles.
