ok. I would first like to point out that my knowledge in converting is pretty well non-existant. but I am trying to learn.
what I'm trying to do is convert my avi files (using DIKO)that I have downloaded off the net into a format that I can use for dvdlab. what happens is with one particular file, it will extract to a MPEG file of the correct size and a MP2 audio file with 0 bytes. I was using amourek's guide which can be found here for reference.here
here is the info that I have on both the files that DIKO converts with no problems and the one that it doesn't extract the audio.
on the ones that work: the v. codec name is DivX v3MPEG-4(low-motion) and the a.1 codec name is MPEG layer-3
on the one that doesn't work: the v.codec name is DivX v3MPEG-4(low-motion) and the z.1 codec name is DivX
audio
if someone could give any help or refer me to another guide that I may have missed with this problem. I would be greatly appreciated.
thank you in advance for any info you can give me
