Hi,
I really don’t want to spend the extra money to get the Canopus advc-100 on ebay, so I was wondering if anyone who has the 110 model could confirm if it is able to capture tapes with Macrovision protection
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Welllll...
If you google ....ADVC-110 macrovision...
you will get some hits from...surprise...this place
You are on your own...LOL.... -
I know ADVC50 will disable macrovision if you remove Jumper #6 on the card (did that on mine and it seems to work). This is an unofficial feature though.
Not familiar with ADVC 110 - sorry. -
I just tried the google on "ADVC-100 macrovision" and in the very first thread there was a poster that said that it does disable macrovision. Probably wouldn't hurt to consult your local canopus dealer, email them or even try the canopus forums.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Since I am assuming that you are just trying to burn your own videotapes to dvd, fair use would allow you to do this. Try holding down the input select button for about 20 seconds and then capture. Nyah Levi
