Almost always. Sometimes the Commentaries are better than the movie. You can learn alot of details that don't come out, even in the "making of" videos. Did you know that the font used on the signs on Babylon 5 used the standard "Stop.ttf"? If its a movie I really like I'll watch the movie and then watch it right away with the commentaries. If the movie isn't all that good I'll go to the commentaries right away. I can go to the theater to see the movie, I have to wait for the DVD for the CommentariesIf you are at all interested in improving your own videos the commentaries are a great resource to learn from.

The results of this poll merely confirm my theory that what the majority of DVD buyers want is the basic movie with the best possible picture and sound and no extras* and they want it much sooner and much cheaper than at present.
*By extras I don't mean deleted footage that should never have been cut from the theatrical release in the first place. -
Hardly ever watch the extra footage.
