  1. I converted an AVI file to DVD MPEG2 with the intention of burning a DVD in Toast. When I moved the converted MPEG file into the Toast window I was notified that there was no audio in the encoded MPEG file. When I went to check the original AVI file, I discovered that it plays fine (picture & audio) using DivX Player but when playing it in Quicktime there also was no audio.

Is there a separate audio file that I'm just not seeing or do I need to adjust the audio settings in ffmepX in order for audio to be encoded along with the video?

    Thanks for the help.

    Beth

I believe you have to extract the audio first. Then remux the audio and video stream.

  3. I don't mean to sound totally dumb - of course that doesn't mean I don't but how does one extract audio and then "remux" it?

Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

I use VSO DivXToDVD to convert AVI to DVD and never have any problems.
