  1. Can Compressor (version included with Final Cut Pro) output be used directly in Toast without being recompressed in some fashion? I know Compressor's output is better than iDVD's compression method, and that it's footage cannot be added to an iDVD project (as opposed to DVDSP). But if one didn't want fancy menus, simply a "play the movie" type of disk, can Toast author the disk without imposing its own MPEG conversion?

    and, YES, Toast will burn simple autorunning (firstplay) movies.

    Drag the .m2v file from Compressor to the Toast 6 video window. Toast automatically matches the audio stream (or asks you to select it).
