  1. Converting several 45 min AVIs into DVD format takes too much space on a DVD. So how would I go about burning multiple AVI files onto one DVD? Should I to convert VCD then burn to DVD? I'm starting to us TMPGEnc for burning cd's so that's my ideal starting point.

Lower the video bitrate and the resolution and you can store around 7 hours/dvd in vcd quality. Use the builtin wizard in tmpgenc and select dvd ntsc or pal low resolution.

  3. I've tried this and now have a series of .m2v and .avi file pairs. How do I get them authored onto a cd? I've tried TMPGEnc DVD Author but it only recognises the .m2v files so there won't be any sound.

So what do I need to do next or have I gone wrong along the way?
