Lately, I've been burning Data DVDs for the most part. I still perform one or more of the other options now and again as necessary.

I have almost 500 DVDs (probably 600 when you consider some DVD set have more than 1 DVD) and backing them all up is not practical.

I use the burner mostly for viewing the downloaded Japanese anime that are not available in USA or is available in badly trnslated, dubbed and censored version.

I mainly record TV programs and then burn them as DVD-Video. Which voting option should I choose? It's not home movies/DV (not made by my camcorder), and it's not backups of my DVD collection, not archiving VHS,not converting downloads and not data discs.

Well I do all those things too, but they are not the kind of DVD's I write most.

I'm split between backing up movies and capturing/burning, but chose backing up anyway. I only capture the family guy and MXC

The "Data discs" option was originally set as "Other", but whoever took it upon themselves to move this poll from the Off Topic forum (even though they left the original poll with the same title that only covered formats there ) apparently decided to edit my original post and take that option away from you.

Take it up with the mods. They seem to have all the answers.
