To "extract the content from the iso" use Isobuster (the freeware version).

So now my next question is how do i proceed from here to convert this to divx?

I thought fairuse only worked on disks. If that is true, just mount the image in daemon and point fairuse to it and you'll be done five or six hours later. If you want to use your video_ts folder, you can try autogk, but I think fairuse is easier.

I don't generally convert dvds to divx, but since Baldrick suggested FairUse Wizard, I would try that if I was you.

There's a guide on how to do just that here.

The only change for you would be in step two. In the current version of FairUse Wizard, there is now a second box down below the "drive select" that allows you to select an iso file.

Other than that, I would try just following the guide.

    Good luck.

I'd mount the ISO (which obviously is a DVD image) with Daemon tools, and from that point on, treat it as any DVD to DivX conversion case, for which there are numerous methods.
(As I now see I'm not the first to suggest )
