Divx 5 to Divx 3 Low?

Is there a tool I can use to convert an AVI file from Divx 5 to Divx 3 Low?

but why convert to divx3?

Encoding with TMPGEnc made the MPEG file more than 500mb while I want it to be around 200mb

It's the same thing, why DivX 3? Use DivX (or XivD) with a low bitrate and resolution, why use this old codec?

Well, other files I converted came to that size and the only difference between them and this one file were the codecs, so I thought I had to use the older codec for the result to be the same...

But what is your source? A DivX5? And what are you tryng to do? Do you want to have the same quality of your other movies, or the same size?
Anyway you should use a more modern codec, if you are just tryng to fit it to 200MB.

So you converted a DivX 5.x avi to an mpeg with TMPGEnc and the filesize was off so you thought that you would convert to DivX 3 and then to mpeg?

By the way if you want to do DivX 3 encoding I would suggest NanDub or use ffdshow instead of DivX311alpha.

With all the lossy codecs you tell the codec what size you want (some directly, some indirectly via the bitrate). The codec then does whatever is necessary to make a file of that size.
