  1. I'm creating a simple VCD from an .avi file using the presets for SVCDmpeg2enc but the final result outputs the letterbox video off-centered vertically. The top is right at the top edge of the screen and there's one huge black bar along the bottom, basically shifting the whole video up to the edge. I have had this happen once before but i don't know if a setting is off or if it's in the .avi file. And if it is the .avi file - is there a way to fix that?? They look fine playing through Quicktime and VLC but not on the dvd player. I appreciate the help!

    I reckon ffmpegX has automatic adjustment for the problem. Give it a try. I haven't done SVCDs for quite while.
