Thanks for your reply. Tried BeSweet to convert .wav file to ac3. But it didn't work. Did I do something wrong here ?

AC3? Huh? Didn't you as how to resample from 44.1 to 48 kHz?
I always use ffmpeggui for wav to ac3 encoding. BeSweet might have many aces up its sleeves, but to me, the GUI is more complex than the command line tool it fronts...

  5. You can also use Goldwave or Cool Edit Pro to convert wav from 44.1 khz to 48 khz. For wav to ac3, use ffmpeggui as suggested above. Besweet will convert it too. Make sure your wav is 48 khz before ac3 conversion.

@ mats.hogberg, Sorry. My post was to fix the 44.1 to 48Khz issue. But when I saw BeSweet has ac3, I gave a shot. It didn't work.

    Will give ffmpeggui a try.

    Thanks all for the replies.

  8. Use SSRC for frequency conversion. Works thru TmpGenc as a front end.

Your BeSweet problem appears to be user error. Closely examine the expected file type for your input file.

@Nelson37, Thanks. User problem it is. I fed in 44.1 and obviously it won't work for BeSweet. dphirschler had mentioned that.

  10. I was actually referring to the fact that BeSweet was expecting an AC3 file for input, NOT a wav file.

It will do a WAV to AC3 conversion, but you have to tell the program that is what you intend to do. What you have there is an AC3 to AC3 frequency rate conversion, but the starting point you specified is a wav file. Invalid input.
