  1. Hows it going,

    This is following on from a thread on the simple divx boards. You can read it here: http://simpledivx.org/ib/index.php?showtopic=130&st=0&#entry436

    I'm backing up an NTSC DVD with simple divx which uses MEncoder to transform it into a DivX AVI. MEncoder seems to be skipping frames quite regularly, which leads to a jerky output. There are no such issues with PAL films. I think it might have something to do with the framerate. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix - or a possible better alternative piece of free software to do this job with?

    Thats classified here as adware/spyware - no way am I installing anything like that on my PC by choice.
