Canopus edius say's it render free editting up to 5 layer.
well I am using it but if i make 2 to 3 layer i have render to preview it and also if i use any xplode 4.0 effect i have to must render other wise no previewin any layer.

I change my graphics card from geforce 440SE to Ati 9550/ ATi9600SE but improves very little. now it can preview 2 to 3 layer but remain same in case of xplode 4.0 effects.

Can any one help which graphics card will be best suited for xplode 4.0 effect to preview in time line w/o render?

    My PC configuration:
    MB- MSI 875Neo-FISR
    PR- P4 3.0 HT
    RAM- 1GB DDR 400 (Hynics)
HDD- 80GB S-ATA (Hitachi Deskstar) as system
160GH S-ATA (Hitachi Deakstar) as AV Drive
    CD- Sony 300E Combo
    OS- WindowsXP SP2

    pls help

You don't need any special graphics display card for Edius. Any 2D card will do. Per spec sheet "Graphics card with hardware-based DirectDraw overlay and 32-bit color display at a 1024x768 resolution." Anything more will go unused.

The realtime cards supported are "Compatible with OHCI FireWire-equipped PCs and optimized for Canopus DVRaptor RT2, DVStorm and DVRex RT series cards "

Perhaps edDV didn't put it clearly enough. Your graphics card is there merely to display a picture on your monitor, to use all the facilities of your software you need a separate hardware encoder card. Nothing to do with the graphics card at all.
