I have an avi file and srt subtitle file, I want to convert this to VCD format with permanent subtitles. So I followed the guide here wherein the tools used is Tmpgenc and Vobsub. This method does not require frameserving.
Everything work fine except that when you play the output vcd file, there are some scenes wherein the subtitles does not appear. Only a few minutes of some scene. I am trying to figure out what I need to do to be able to correct this. I had tried uninstalling vobsub and installing the latest version but the result is still the same.
I hope someone can give me some advice or suggestions as to how can I solve this problem. I have been stucked to this problem for a very long time already. It seems it is only me who has this problem cause I had searched the forum and did not find any similar case as mine.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

it happens for some...i don't know why yet. you could try ffdshow instead or you can use virtualdub with the vobsub filter and frameserve to tmpgenc.
