didnt Microsoft now launch a search engine of their own ?

so many spiders crawling on the net - it is turning into a horror movie ..

google has an advantage of indexing sites longer - a new search will take some time to catch up ..

MetaSearch has always been around, no doubt. But the results being displayed in that format is a huge convenience. Of course this irritated both Yahoo! and Google. Hence the name change

    Variants

    http://www.yagoosearch.com/

    Yahoo+Google+MSN
    http://www.yahoogooglemsn.com/
(We all know MSN search is still very weak )

Still I don't think anyone will mind seeing parallel results from the net's top two search engines (Yahoo! & Google). Shows us how good they really are.

There's also grub (http://www.grub.org/) from the site

    Chart the Web with Grub

Grub's goal is revolutionary - to track down every site in the world and provide a real-time map of the Web.

Leveraging the power of distributed computing, Grub allows everyone with an Internet connection to participate in the last frontier of discovery. By downloading the unique screensaver, you can donate your computer's unused bandwidth to probing the hidden depths of the Web.

We're embarking on a journey to crawl every site, every day. We're not there yet but we're on our way, and every person who runs Grub makes the project better and faster. So if you've ever aspired to be a modern day Magellan, this is your chance.
