New to ripping. Running amd 1200,windows XP syst. Smart ripper 2.40, DVD2AVI 1.76 and TMPGE 2.02.31.119 along with Nero 5.5.5.6 .
When i run smartripper, the 8 chapters are checked off on the movie (sorpranos) (which i own) when its done ripping, i only have 5 and sometimes 6 chapters ripped ? can any one help me solve this problem ?
Also in tmpgeng, how can you tell or set the apx. time or size for encoding so it can fit on a 80 min. cd ?I encoded 1/2 the total frames of the movie 0 to 158257 frames. total frames are 316414 and got error message (too large for media).
would appreciate any help as i am VERY NEW to this,

i am still kind of new myself but had the same problem you did. When you think about it, your not getting the whole VOB file, so after you have loaded up the DVD and are getting ready to rip, go to your "setting" tab and i believe the default is set at 4000 mb, so change that to a higher number like 10000 mb.Try this and let me know.
