We recently built a new faster computer. We transfered the ATI AIW 9000 Pro card to the new computer, then reinstalled the ATI software. Great picture using ATI MMC 8.7, and I THINK we are using the Catalyst 4.10 Driver (dunno for sure).
We had no problems with the audio before we transfered the card to the new computer, BUT now.. the sound is perfect when we simply watch the tv...BUT when we CAPTURE anything,, the sound FLUCTUATES from soft to loud, then back to soft; it does the same thing on playback,,either though the ATI Player OR WinDVD 6. And we cannot figure out WHAT is causing this to happen.
For example..I captured the Muppets Wizard of Oz last night for my kid..then authored, burned it to DVD, played in on my DVD player through the tv set.. and the sound was CONSTANTLY fluctuating from loud to soft.. went back. the ORIGINAL captured mpeg did the SAME thing in my computer.. this has been happening for quite awhile now.
What could be causing this to happen? Better yet.. how can I fix this problem?
Hmmm.. Could it be that the Catalyst Drivers are corrupted ? I haven't any clue.. perhaps I should upgrade to a newer Catalyst Driver?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.. Thanks ~!
