    Hi,

    Is it possible to crop a few cm from the bottom of a dvd video without losing quality?
    If so, please help me! Because I know you can crop an avi but can you crop a dvd too?????

  2. Yes, but it means you will have to re-encode. Any changes like that require re-encoding. And as its DVD, re-authoring too.

    And wich program do i need for that? Or is their a tutorial somewhere to do this?
    And a last question: do i loose quality?

    TMPGenc can do do it, yes you lose quality.

    It won't work with TMPGenc with me

    A DVD cannot be edited like that. I have a feeling you're trying to open the DVD in software.

    What you CAN do, however, is decompile the full DVD back to source, re-encode the video part, and then re-author. It takes time, it's tedious, and it will lose quality. But that's how you do it. It's going to take some reading.

    So you have the M2V file? Be sure there is an MPEG2 decoder installed on your system, then load the file in TMPG, use the crop filter (mask it) and then encode the new file.

    Because their is a text at the bottom of the dvd that i want to remove.
