Make sure the file is a DVD-Compliant resolution and bitrate.

Adobe Encore sucks for this very reason.
It does not support the full DVD spec.

However, your audio is wrong for DVD.
And the MPEG-1 may or may not have proper sequence headers.

Does Encore import muxed video? IIFC, it is the next gen of DVDMaestro, which only imported Elementry Streams.

Try demuxing video and audio into ES.

You tell us. Run your video through RESTREAM and change the resolutions and try it.

I see nowhere in the Encore literature where is says that it will import MPEG1 video files. Strange... I thought that Encore was a higher level product. I guess that it is just another MyDVD type product.

It is from the Encore Help file.

But no mention of MPEG-1 video files. And, a MPEG-1 video at 352x240 is a valid DVD resolution

  17. If I will convert the file to MPEG2 720x480 with TMPGEnc (templete dvd [ntsc]) I will be able to impot the file in Adobe Encore?

  18. I had the same problem with Adobe Encore 1.0. it has some limitations when trying to import an MPEG1. Version 1.5 may be better. If you encode the file to MPEG2 720 x 480 you should be able to import it but you will have to try it to be sure.
