Starting to rip my first movie. Ofcourse, I picked Pearl Harbor, ya know, the one all the peaople that even KNOW what they're doing have problems with (especially on the second disc! which I know I will be begging for help soon on!)
EEEnyway, I do as the intructions say for Smart Ripper. I have played the first 30 secs of the movie first. WHen I go to Choose a target directory, everything is coming along nicely until I actually pick the file name and save. It pops up a window saying I don't have permission and asks if I want to save to my docs. WHat do I do now?
    Thanks, Tracey

Are you running Windows XP? If so change your User Account to Computer Administrator in Control Panel. Now you should be able to save to where ever you want.
    Hope that helped you out,

Dhruv, already set User to administrator. I thought I had figured out the problem. But I was wrong. I got it to go to the start button, but now I am stuck on the DVD2AVI. I am going to post about that little mishap and see if there is something I can do. Thanks for trying though.

    Pinoy,
Yes, I have the latest I think. I think it is my misunderstanding of what I am doing, not the software itself. Can you fly to Oklahoma for a TRAINING IN PERSON?
