Actually the ATi uses the RF remote and sapphire/msi/yuan use the IR remote. I have the sapphire using with MCE -heh, msdn is good for something after all, otherwise i'd be using gbpvr which is also excellent- and it's great. At first I wasn't to sure i'd be impressed but more I use it the more I like it, it beats the heck outta my old leadtek tv2000 expert.... I've recorded while watching dvd's, surfing, even encoding avi's and it the recordings didn't skip a beat. Even had a hauppage 150 mce but kept the 550pro 'cause I can see it's potential which is far greater, although relying on ATi will be hit or miss.

Thanks for your input Myrdinn. I am still gonna go with the saphire...the premium isn't worth it for the ati...RF remotes don't cost that much. So you like MCE better than gbpvr eh?
