    Yes. Hook the video and audio out of your DVD player to the input of your Beta recorder. Just hit play on your DVD player and record on your Beta recorder and you are good to go.

    You may have some problems with macrovision errors being recorded. In that case, you will have to find a hack for your DVD player on the left or buy something to defeat the macrovision and install that device between your DVD player and Beta recorder. Topic here about the possible devices you can use.

    Macrovision might not pose a problem.
    If I recall correctly...Beta was immune to macrovision because it normally rebuilt the sync signals when it recorded.

    Some beta such as sanyo couldnt bypass macrovision,as to subtitles they have to be shown and then they will be permanently recorded to tape.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
