  1. I have an avi I want to convert to mpg. I cannot open it in TMPGEnc. I tried to open it in VirtualDub, it said:

    "Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'MP42' (Microsoft High-Speed MPEG-4 V2)
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable."

    What can I do?

  3. not sure if that one is covered in the DivX 4.x -- get the kristal pack to be safe (it's kind-of an all-in-one package)
