  1. I cannot believe that it is so hard to capture a tv show and also capture closed captions. My card displays them so i know the info is getting there. The only way i have seen to do this is:

    record in ati.vcr format
    strip cc out with graphedit
    covert .vcr to mpeg2
mux cc with mpeg in sonic
    author dvd
    burn dvd

This is crazy!!! Do you have any idea how long the above tasks will take? Why do PVR companies ignore this feature? Am i just lost to my vcr till this is fixed???

    HELP!!!

That's exactly the reason many of us have switched to DVD recorders. For the most part they are cheaper, faster, and better.

From the sounds of things, you have an ATI AIW capture card. You're merely doing things the hard way. Visit www.digitalFAQ.com and read some of the BASICS guides and CAPTURE guides.

  4. Lordsmurf,

Yes i am using an AIW card. I have visited your site many times in the past, however there is no answer to my question of capturing live tv and keeping the cc info and then buring on to DVD.

Am i missing something on your site?

  5. So no follow up lord?
