I'm looking for a program that would make it easy to make a DVD with Divx files. I want to be able to just select the Divx files and create a DVD with menus without any converting before hand.

I've tried DivxToDVD but no Menus are allowed for it.

    I've also got a 2nd question.

I've converted a video with D.I.K.O. into 2 seperate files, a .mp2 and a .mpv. I've tried using DVD-lab PRO to burn it with a menu but when I select the correct Menu option on the DVD, the audio plays but the video doesn't. How can I get it so the video and audio play?

  2. Load the .vob's from VSO DivxtoDVD into DVDLab Pro, author and burn.
    Demux when prompted!

I did this, but sometimes I get freezes and green specs every once and a while.

It means that you use your video card's video out feature hooked up to your DVD Recorder and play your DivX file on your PC while recording it to DVD.

TBH I would never do it this way. It may be quick but it certainly isn't the best way IMO from a quality point of view.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Impossible.
I did this, but sometimes I get freezes and green specs every once and a while.
Then don't use VSO, find a better encoder. Start by reading through the guides for avi to dvd.

The freezes aren't because of VSO DivXToDVD, they're from bad media.

I assume the green specs are pixels from a corrupted AVI or a compatibility problem with your DVD player. Again, bad media.

The original question was how to put DivX files onto a DVD without converting. To do that, you make a data DVD but you either need a DivX DVD Player to play them or you have to run an A/V out from your VIVO card on your PC out to your TV or just what them on your PC.

Obviously, you won't be able to create a menu but a Data DVD has it's own menu. If you have a bunch of small AVIs then you can separate them into different folders for easier access before you burn.

Also, the bad media that won't play DVD movies on your DVD player should play just fine as a data DVD.

  10. WINAVI, will do it all on its own about 20 minutes.

Its by far the easiest and the dvd-r will play on dvd player.

I use it if I'm in a rush and want to wacth the movie right away.
