    I have to agree with andydd on this one.
    It wouldn't make terribly good business sense for SKY to do this.
    I for one have been considering switching to freeview for some time.
    This would make my decision a lot easier !

  2. I have Sky+ and Sky digital. After reading this post I tried to record the movie channels from both boxes via dvd-recs. I had no problems at all. Two bells, are you sure it's not your dvd-rec that's faulty?

    I hate stupid rumors.
    Therefore I'm locking this pathetic mess of a thread.

    To the original poster, your DVD recorder is broken. Get it replaced. Maybe your wires are bad. Any number of things. But according to verifable sources (SKY website and the UK media, and the lack of info on this would-be hot topic ... plus the many other SKY users unable to repeat your error), it's not SKY blocking channels, so quit making ridiculous unfounded claims to that extent.
