dvd2svcd error message cant decompress frame 0 ???

hi i have some captured avis - i am converting to dvd using dvd2svcd and tempgenc and authoring with tda, when i load one of the avis in to dvd2svcd i get an error message when i try to preview the still picture saying it cant decompress frame 0 ???
please explain this and any suggestions how to get over this as the original vhs tapes are now destroyed!!!i have 6 other avis all captured the same and they are ok

I tried previewing with good avi and i get error messages also,nothing wrong with the avi,just cant preview it i believe,just go ahead and encode.
