  1. Hi all well here it is.. I have a 500 mb or so avi movie. I would like to burn this avi to cdrw and watch on my sony dvd player which does play vcd. I have a scsi burner that only works on my mac because i have no scsi controllers on my pc. so i want to convert it with my pc using tmpgenc 12a then i want to burn it on my mac with toast. I want to know if this will work or if there is any other way to do this..... short of buying a scsi card for my pc. thanks.

That will work. That is how I make my VCD's. Actually use the idvd export in iMovie and transfer to my PC encode with TMPGEnc. Then transfer back and burn with Toast 5. I started out using avi files but I just export to the DVD setting in iMovie.

How do you transfer files between your PC and Mac?
