Hello there and thanks again for taking the time to read my post. There are a couple of video clips (7 minutes each clip)on sharks that I found on the National Geographic website and I used wmrecorder to record them so I can show them to my class. I am using winavi as my tool for converting the wmr files to dvd. Here are the steps I take.
1. I open up my winavi program and start the wmv to dvd conversion. I then locate my video files that I have saved under my wmrecorder folder.
2. Once I locate these particular files I then begin my conversion, the problem is, it appears as if the conversion is going to start and even shows that stutus bar but at that point the progress stops. The progress bar stays at 0% even though the program seems to still be active. I thought it would take a while but after about 15 minutes the progress still shows 0%. The size of each wmr file is about 23.2 mb and it appears to be saved as a wma/wmv file so I am not sure why I am having problems converting it. Does anyone know if I am able to convert wmrecorder video files to dvd? All I want to do is burn these files to a dvd so I can show my class the shark footage on a dvd player so I wont have to have them gather around the PC one at a time. Thanks again guys in advance for your help.
